During the month of October, Egypt hosted a number of Press trips under the auspices of the Tourism Minister with the purpose of shedding light on the recent developments in the destination and drawing more attention to the safety and stability of the sun drenched resorts in their source markets.

Slovenia and Croatia initiated a large press group last October, 2013 with around 18 journalists, travel writers and reporters from prominent magazines and TV channels in Slovenia and Croatia.
\r\nDuring their short stay which lasted 2 days, they held a Press Conference organized by Travco Travel with the Minister of Civil Aviation as keynote speaker in addition to high ranking dignitaries such as the Governor of the Red Sea, the Egyptian Ambassador to Slovenia, Deputy Security Chief, and local media channels were also present to cover the event.

The press delegation visited major attractions in the city of Hurghada including Hurghada’s Marina, Shopping malls and bazars. In the course of their city tour they met and spoke with locals and bazar owners and attendants and some tourists from other countries for testimonials that best relay the picture to their source markets.

The group had a chance to visit a number of Madinat Makadi’s Hotels and Resorts, Makadi Water World and the Golf Course. At the end of their trip guests expressed their gratitude for the Egyptian hospitality and assured that Slovenian and Croatian travelers are looking forward to spend their holidays in the sun drenched Red Sea resorts to enjoy the wonderful stretches of sandy beaches and whole year round sun-shine among multiple attractions that appeal to all holiday makers.
\r\nThe trip was escorted by a team from Travco and Kompas to welcome the members of the Press Trip during their visit and show them around.
