The fair was very well organized and the arrangements were quite impressive to the visiting agents whose testimonials confirmed that they were fascinated by the location in which the press conference was held, namely the Karnak Temple. Additionally guests seem to have enjoyed the opulent gala dinner at the grand Temple of Luxor which was an awe-inspiring spectacle, according to some of the invitees.

\r\nTravco was honored to be one of the companies appointed by the Ministry to handle the land arrangements offering our pristine buses for the delegates transfers in Luxor.
\r\n
\r\nAlmost 1000 guests attended the fair and the prominent tour operators were all present to help guests find comfort and enjoy the fair.
\r\n
\r\nThe Egyptian Minister of Tourism, Mr. Hesham Zaazou, gave a very influential speech offering an overview of the industry dynamics which earned him a standing ovation at the end of his presentation. The Minister considered the North Coast as the next big opportunity for tour operators inviting them to focus their investments on that budding tourist destination as it holds immense potential. The German ambassador to Egypt and the Governor of Luxor were also key-note speakers at the tourist congregation and welcomed the key industry players alongside the Minister of Tourism.
\r\n
\r\nThe fair yielded quick results as ETI announced during the dinner that took place on the sidelines of the event that they will start operating flights to Luxor as of February.
\r\n
\r\nTravco held several meetings with potential companies interested in the Nile cruises and resorts owned and operated by the group and seemed to have promising plans for the destination. Industry players were hopeful that the marketing initiatives lead by the ministry would reap the results with the return of the toursim movement from that leading source market, Germany.
