Japan Association of Travel Agents Co-Hosted by Travco

To help spread the word that Egypt is now safe and back on its feet, The Egyptian Tourism Association (ETA) invited the Japanese Association of Travel Agents, represented by Japan’s top travel agents JTB, Hankyu and Kinki Nippon Tourist to an inspection visit on December 5 in order to report back the situation to the Japanese government.

\r\nThe delegation was taken on a tour of the various sites frequented by Japanese Tourists.  Later, Travco had the honor of partaking in the event by co-hosting, alongside other Japanese land tour operators, a beautiful, cozy cocktail reception and dinner at Movenpick Pyramids.   The dinner was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Minister of Civil Aviation, Giza, Aswan and Luxor Governors as well as other key figures in the Egyptian tourism industry.

\r\nJATA Vice Chairman Mr. Yoshikawa Katsuhisa and Chairman of Global Youth Bureau Mr. KogiKataro gave very promising speeches where the commended the security measures they witnessed during their tours to the Pyramids and Cairo’s down town and advised that the media should now focus on such positive aspects.

\r\nThe presence and speeches of Mr. Hisham Zaazou, Minister of Tourism and Mr. Abdel Aziz Fadel, Minister of Civil Aviation reassured the Japanese representatives of how important the Japanese market is to Egypt and that all efforts are being exerted to restore tourism to Egypt back to its glory days.
