TUI Lifetime Achievement Award Holly for 2019 Goes to Hamed El Chiaty

Honoring his outstanding accomplishments in the travel and tourism industry over 40 years in the Middle East Hamed El Chiaty, the hospitality veteran and founder of Travco Group, was recognized by TUI Deutschland and awarded the exclusive TUI's 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award. 

The prestigious and distinctive award which is granted to very few people around the globe. It was presented by TUI Deutschland's CEO Marek Andryszak, COO Stefan Baumert, and Board Member Mr. David Burling to Mr. El Chiaty during a regal ceremony in recognition of his merits and exceptional contribution to the travel and tourism industry since 1979. 

Prior to receiving the award, a documentary movie about Mr. El Chiaty’s expertise, which almost covered all the pillars of the hospitality industry, was screened to all the attendees and top officials from global hospitality companies. The documentary covered his lifetime achievements in the field since he was 27 years old when he founded the company with only four buses, and till he built one of the largest travel and tourism companies in the Middle East.

Mr. Hamed El Chiaty and his group currently owns 157 hotels, resorts and cruise ships and handles more than 1.3 million tourists annually. TUI Lifetime Achievement Award is considered the highest accolade that can be accorded by TUI and is based on lifelong accomplishments and contributions to the tourism industry.
